Sanskrit name: Gomukhasana

Difficulty level: Basic

Technique

  1. Sit with both legs in front of you.
  2. Bend the left leg under the right so the left heel touches the buttock.
  3. Bend the right leg over the left so that the right heel touches the buttock and the right knee is over the left.
  4. Take the left arm behind the back lifting the hand between the shoulder-blades, palm out. Take the right hand over the right shoulder palm touching the back, clasp the hands.
  5. Keep the back straight and the head back to open the shoulder.
  6. Hold the pose for 1 minute or more.
  7. Repeat the pose with the legs and arms reversed.

Breathing

  • Breathe normally in the final position.
